fancy a chat?

I do love a retro house phone.  I think the modern ones of today are so boring and focus on modern practicality rather than design aesthetic.  However the house phone will surely die out in the next 5-10 years due to mobile phones, laptops and tablet computers. Therefore I think it is important to have something in your home that looks good, as it will become less practical.

I found this beautiful phone at a  car boot sale and the first thing I asked the guy is "does it work?". He assured me it did, and it was already wired for use. I got it for £4 and he gave me a free lager tray too! woo :)

I got it home, tested it out. It had really clear reception, I was so pleased.  However every number registered except the no' 7 so I will have to get that checked out (Maybe thats why he gave me the free lager tray). I would only have a house phone to receive calls though so not much of a worry.
I can see it now sitting on the end of a sideboard next to a comfy lounge chair.
